Bee Nation was the opening feature at the 2017 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival. The film, directed by Lana Slezic, traces the journeys of several Indigenous children and teens as they compete in the first-ever First Nations Provincial Spelling Bee in Saskatchewan and the national championships of the Spelling Bee of Canada.

Dragonfly was once again asked to research and prepare an education package for the film. You can download it here: BeeNation_EdPkg. (And check out past Hot Docs education packages here.)

You can view the Bee Nation trailer here.

To host a screening of the film, contact the director via the film’s website.
